Biography

Saki Uetsuhara is a New York–based Japanese violinist known for her versatility across classical performance, electric violin, and luxury live events. Blending refined musicianship with a modern aesthetic, she performs in a wide range of settings—from concert halls and Broadway productions to exclusive private celebrations and high-end events.

Born in Japan, Saki graduated from the prestigious violin department of Tokyo College of Music in 2013, where she studied with Masayuki Kino, Yoshio Unno, and Toshiro Yokoyama, and also pursued viola studies with Yuki Hyakutake. Prior to relocating to the United States, she was an active performer throughout Tokyo, collaborating with artists across genres and appearing regularly with orchestras in the metropolitan area. She is a prizewinner of the 12th Chang Jiang International Music Competition (2009).
Since moving to New York City, Saki has built a dynamic career performing with ensembles such as the New Jersey Symphony, Greenwich Symphony, and the Link Up Orchestra, as well as in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. She is also an active member of the Legacy String Quartet, with whom she appeared at Carnegie Hall in January 2025. Her performance highlights include touring engagements with international artists, appearances at major venues including Madison Square Garden, and performances at exclusive luxury events where both her acoustic and electric violin bring a distinctive musical presence. She is also an active recording musician, contributing to film soundtracks and studio projects in both Japan and the United States.
She also studied with Daniel Phillips at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. Today, she continues to perform throughout New York and internationally, combining classical elegance with a contemporary performance style.
